Typically, all of our design packages are delivered within 7-10 days from the point you submit the post-purchase garden fact find and send in images. For the complete design, we send the concept in 10 working days, and once we receive your feedback, we aim to get the final designs back to you in 5 working days. We'll send you the garden fact find as soon as you've purchased one of our garden design packages. During busy periods, it may take slightly longer than 10 working days to get your designs back, but we will inform you if this is the case.

Your garden will be assigned to one of our expert garden designers based on your preferences and tastes. We have designers who specialize in different areas to ensure your garden design is tailored to your specific needs.

We create one design concept for all of our customers for them to feedback on. We then take this feedback to craft the final design covering layout and planting plant. We also provide suggestions on materials for the paving and pathways.

Our focus is making beautiful, professionally designed gardens accessible to all and we believe that aesthetically complimentary plants, planted together in the right place along with intelligent zoning of your garden will have the biggest impact on your gardens beauty and usability, without breaking the bank. Typical garden design services are charged at £100-£200 per hour and normally start at around £1000, going up as high as £5000+. We've stripped back the process to the elements giving you 90% of the benefit for a fraction of the cost.

At Urban Plot, we focus on keeping our services affordable and accessible. To achieve this, our garden designers dedicate their time purely to the design process. By collecting all your needs upfront through our garden fact find, we minimize the need for direct communication, which helps keep our prices low. While you can provide feedback on the designs, with one round of revisions included in the price, our garden designers do not conduct face-to-face visits or calls with clients.

While our service is trusted and loved by hundreds of happy customers, we understand that it's not possible to get it right every time. We include one round of revisions with every garden design package, but if you are not happy after receiving your concept design and chose not to proceed with supplying feedback, we will give you a full refund, no questions ask. Yes, our garden fact find collects all of the necessary information about you and your garden before we start so we can customise your designs to you. If there's something specific you want to let us know about what you want there's a space at the end of the fact find where your can explain this in as much detail as you would like.

Our service is not a replacement for traditional garden design process it's an alternative designed to bring professional garden design to everyone at a fraction of the cost of a traditional garden designer (the average price for a traditional garden designer in the UK is £1800).

The main difference between Urban Plot and a traditional garden designer is that we operate purely online capturing all of the information up front in our garden fact find. We then provide you with a design concept tailored to your answers covering your needs and wants for you then to feed back on before completing your final plans. Compare this to a traditional garden design service, where you will have face to face meetings, video calls and multiple feedback rounds. They will normally come out to your garden and measure your space - naturally you pay for all of these things. They will, in many cases, also project manage the garden build for an additional fee.

We don't think that in every case this is necessary and we can deliver 90% of the impact of a traditional garden design service at a fraction of the price.

Our Complete Garden Design Package includes detailed planting, layout, and hard landscaping materials. This package includes 3D renders and outline CAD plans to ensure your contractor has guidance - to be clear these aren't construction drawings as we do not conduct site surveys, they are to be used as a guide based on the information you provide with adjustments to be made on site by your landscaper. The package you need depends on the size of the space you would like us to look at. Our service is completely online and once you've purchased you will be sent a design questionnaire to complete, which will help us to understand your needs, wants and garden conditions a little more. Then you will be able to share with us images of your current garden and the plan you attached. We will then create an initial design concept which you will have the opportunity to provide feedback on and suggest any changes or adjustments. We will collaborate on the feedback, where necessary, before incorporating into your final design plans, which will include measurements, materials and plant lists (plus a handy plant care calendar) to you.
