Heuchera 'Palace Purple'

Heuchera are underrated but extremely effective plants that we're expecting to have a bit of a renaicance over the coming years. They are tough but beautiful plants and the purple leaved varieties such as this 'Palace Purple' provide fantastic contrast  amongst all the green.
 
Will grow in most places apart from deep shade
Best in mosit but, well-drained, fertile soil, but they are fairly drought resistant in the Urban Plot garden once established
Airy flower spikes reach up to 60 cm in height with a 40 cm spread
Perfect 'spiller' plant in a border to provide ground cover and low level structure
Pairs well with amongst green leaved plants, but we like it best alongside Geranium 'Rozanne', the zingy yellow of Alchemilla mollis and sprays of ferns
